Heyooo. I’m a web developer living in Toronto, Canada. This site is a journal of my time spent on web projects. I’m currently a fulltime developer at ADBASE, a marketing database for photographers and illustrators. I work on their database application, writing mostly in C# and TSQL.

Before working at ADBASE I helped create WaySpa.com. There I developed a specialized ecommerce platform to sell and support a unique type of product. I was solely responsible for the Linux, mod_perl, Mason, Postgres infrastructure and development from 2004 until 2009.

The web is a big passion for me, and I am lucky enough to have been employed continuously as an internet app developer since 1999. I really enjoy my job, because I believe the web is a terrifying, unstoppable force that will viciously destroy and then miraculously rebuild all modern media conventions such as television, magazines, newspapers, radio, books, music and movies. Because I deeply fear this angry god, I enjoy spending my time in its service.

Recently Michael Warning and I recieved some attention for marketing a line of wall decals insipred by the modern typography of the TTC subway stations.  Mike and I had previously worked well together as a designer/developer team at WaySpa, but this time around we chose to go with an open source cms and shopping cart instead of coding our own. Using open source is another good way to please the angry web gods.

I’m a pretty big Search Engine Marketing nerd. I like helping my friends build their own websites. But I confess, I do it mostly for the backlinks (-seo joke).

I’ve always been a big fan of photography, but my best equipment is stuck in the dark ages film era, so I don’t really bother with it anymore. Instead I try to make the most of my joesumer gear.

This is a photo of my bike.
